Over a forty-five-year time span, his security industry career evolved through engineering sales, marketing and executive general management positions in Wormald Security and he was ultimately elevated to the position of Managing Director of Chubb Security. After this he held a diverse range of functional responsibilities at SNP Security encompassing strategy, sustainability and governance prior to establishing his consultancy business.

Reflecting its name, Perspective IQ has been founded on the experience gained in an extensive career in management and security.
For over four decades, founder Brian Foster’s career was marked by progressive promotion to positions of general manager, executive director and managing director with parallel appointments to associated board roles. He earned an enviable reputation as a person with sound business judgement and an ability to run businesses profitably.
He has successfully managed enterprises of markedly different stages of development. Some have been mature businesses requiring careful oversight; some have been in times of consolidation after a period of rapid growth; others have been troubled, needing reorganisation and reignition.
Brian believes that an important factor in business success is people success. His ability to “read” people and environments helped in his early career in sales, drove his success when he transitioned to sales and marketing management, and was invaluable in recruiting senior staff and team leadership in his senior management roles.
In recognition of his business leadership and achievements, Brian has been admitted as a Fellow of the Australian Security Industry Association, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders.
